In the process of planning my wedding I was stuck in a quandary. I have extensive training in printmaking and could create amazing handset letterpress invitations. You know, the ones where you pay thousands of dollars. We decided early on that we wanted our wedding to be a statement on supporting the earth and our local businesses. With tiny bridezillas dancing in my head I conceived this Virtual Invitation. While Evite is a quintessential in organizing my friends for a potluck, I wanted something more for my wedding. I wanted something that would capture the beauty of a well designed wedding invitation, a hint of tradition, and the idea that we can use our intellect to fight global warming.

How does it work?

Your guests just click the envelope! Your click starts a Flash Movie with an envelope opening and then a beautiful wedding invitation emerging. they fill in their reply and it is emailed to you.

You create the words for your invitation to match your personal style. Choose from the options below and then check off that Wedding Invitation Box. (I'm a box checker!)

What do I do for those people who don't or can't use the computer?

While my grandmother, who is 89, is a pro at email opened the invitation without a hitch, my uncle doesn't own a computer. After all was said and done I created ten paper invitation sets. I think this is an important option to having virtual invitations. These invitations will be the same style as your virtual invitation, but printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper with water-based ink. Paper invitation prices are below. You will received a digital proof via email.

Packages

Basic Wedding Goddess: Envelope, Invitation and Reply Card - $150 Your words are added to a pre-designed invitation scheme. The invitation images are created. A draft will be sent to your email for approval. Once everything is to your liking, the invitation set is posted online. You email a link to your guests and the replies are sent to your email address. You will aslo receive an envelope link to place on your wedding website. Email support through wedding date is included. Your invitations remain hosted online until your fist anniversary!

Super Wedding Goddess: Envelope, Invitation and Reply Card - $250 In addition to all features of the Basic Wedding Goddess package, guests receive a personal invitation with their name and address on the envelope. A database is created for you to enter the names and addresses for your guests. In this interface you can view and make additions or changes to your guest list. At anytime in the process you can send invitations to a selected guest. Email support through wedding date is included. Your invitations remain hosted online until your fist anniversary!
